I just found my new favorite nail polish! I used to be a big fan of OPI and I still am but this polish is even BETTER! If you do your own nails (like I frequently do) then you will love this polish. It is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure and it stays on for days with NO chipping! I always apply a base coat (I love OPI’s base & top coat combo- its pricey but worth it) but I tried Sally Hansens clear in this same line and liked it too. Normally I am touching my nails up nightly and I have not had to do this yet and its been three days with this polish- UNHEARD OF FOR ME
.
Give it a try and let me know what you think. They sell it at Target, Walmart and most drug stores for around 7.00 but I found some cool colors at 5 below (if you have one near you) for 3.00!
This polish also comes in some really fun as well as classic colors.
Polish that lasts

From My Face Book Page Sara wanted to know what to do about the smell in self tanning creams.
I LOVE self tanning creams! Take it from someone who has legs the color of sour cream- self tanning cream works! There are many upsides- you can get a tan in a few hours and there is no risk of skin cancer. The downside is the chemical that turns your skin dark (DHA) does have an odor. Here are a few hints that will help if you really can’t stand the smell:
1. Apply before bed, you will wake up tan and your morning shower will get rid of most of the smell (apply some scented lotion and you will really cover that smell)
2. Mix your self tanner 50/50 with your favorite scented lotion- it still works and the smell will be somewhat masked.
3. Use the gradual tanning lotions that build your tan slowly-the smell is much lighter. Coppertone and Jergens make good ones. You can use these every day in place of your regular body lotion and you will get a tan slowly. The other benefit of these gradual tanning lotions is that if you are new to self tanners you have a better chance of getting an even look and less chance of streaks.
General hint- if you hate the sticky feel of these products try the gel formulas- they dry much quicker and are far less sticky. Also if you have never used these products before try them on your legs first and then after you have seen how they work on you and how good you are at applying them you can move to other body parts.
Don’t forget to wash your hands REALLY well after applying or you will get “tanned” palms…that is a faux pas no matter what season it is! LOL.
